Let’s be honest. No one can guarantee a particular result in court. The combined personalities and beliefs of all of the witnesses, judges, prosecutors, and police will all affect the final result in court. Every set of facts is different. That is why the insights and experiences of your attorney matter so much. That’s how I can help.
Traffic Law generally varies from state to state, and Virginia state law carries specific fines and penalties for specific traffic violations, such as a speeding ticket or DUI. Violations for speeding tickets, running stop signs, accidents, racing, reckless driving, DUI and driving with a suspended license all carry different likely outcomes. For instance, Virginia courts sometimes employ a Driver Improvement Program for residents convicted of certain traffic violations. The court will notify the Department of Motor Vehicles, your insurance company upon request, and will also post the conviction to your driving record. Demerit points may be added you your driving record, or you may have your license suspended altogether. In some cases, the judge may impose a jail sentence. There is no set formula, although I can usually give you a very good idea of what to expect. If you have been charged with a traffic violation, contact The Lawrence Law Firm, PLC as soon as possible.
